Our Mission 

  • Worship: Made in God's image, we find our life's purpose and deepest fulfillment in joyful and wholehearted worship and obedience. Gen. 1:27; Psalm 150:8.
  • Grow: Sin left us broken, unable to fulfill our purpose. Yet at the cross of Christ, we have discovered the grace and love of the God who gave His life for our sin, and we are growing in His love. Galatians 2:20
  • Love: We aren't perfect, but as we grow in the love of God, we are learning to love Him and one another as He intended. Matthew 22:37-40
  • Serve: The love of Christ inspires and enables us to serve others. We want to see the Moss lake community and Shelby transformed by the same love and grace that is changing us. Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Cor. 5:20

Plan for Salvation

The Great Commission contained in Matthew 28:19-20 says, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."  In obedience to this command, we offer you the following plan for your personal salvation.  God desires a personal relationship with you.  If you'd like to know how this is done, read below.  If this is your prayer, we'd like to help you through the process.  Please contact us.

The Sinner

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).  This is the condition of everyone prior to salvation.  We are born into sin.

The Sentence

""For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).  God has provided us an escape from the sentence of death.

The Savior

"But God commends His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).  God sacrificed His son to a brutal death in order to take on the sins of the world from eternity past to eternity future.

The Solution

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).  "Behold, now is the accepted time, beold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2).  And that's the simplest means for salvation possible.  Pray to God for the forgivness of your sins, acknoledge Jesus as God's son and Lord of your life, and the result is eternal salvation.
